Basic Marinade

There must be as many marinade recipes as there are cookbooks in the world. That said, this is the trusted, go-to delicious-enhancing marinade we go back to at home and at work.

Be it the Chicken Breasts, Legs, Wings, your Pork Chops, or Beef Ribs, make enough marinade to generously coat your protein the night before or the morning of. The magic behind this hard-working agent is the nice concert of fat, acid, herbs, and umami that these ingredients provide. Trust us, give it a go, and find the perfect match for it. For added adventure, head into your pantry, or spend a couple extra minutes in the spice aisle at your grocery store, and select another flavour to enhance this great marinade.   • 1/3 cup soy sauce (use Tamari for Gluten Free)
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire
  • 1 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 3 tbsp dried basil
  • 1 1/2 tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp ground white pepper
  • 1/4 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic, chopped


  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth.
